Nature Farm Tour

With the mighty Anamalai hills rising in the backdrop, the villages in the south-western region of Pollachi lay claim to picturesque farmlands and even prettier rural landscapes.

One such village is Sethumadai, our venue for the farm tour. Richly water-fed by the pristine rivers that originate from the hills, the area is a haven for agriculture. Enroute, as you drive to the venue, you will also get a glimpse of quaint hamlets that are beautiful and charming.

The farm tour will allow you to spend a happy day plodding through lush green agricultural fields that grow coconut, nutmeg, areca, cocoa and a plethora of flowering plants and medicinal shrubs, in an organic way! The tour also provides you with a rare opportunity to taste the ripe cocoa pods – sweet and tasty, even before they’re processed to be used in delicious chocolates

During the tour, you will get to interact with and glean nuggets of information from the resident farmer, who is an expert and an author of multiple books in the fields of Nature and organic farming. He will also demonstrate how his team of laborers from the neighboring tribal village, manufacture organic hand-made soaps and cold-pressed coconut oils using ingredients that are procured from his 60-acre farm, where he has been practicing Nature farming for the past 40 years. At the end of the tour, you also shop for other value-added farm produces like spices and organic personal care products.

This tour, will not be your average comfort-holiday activity, instead, it will be a rewarding experience – both tangible and intangible.  It can best be enjoyed slowly while cherishing a freshly cultivated tender coconut from the farm.
